We have just released JSonar 6.0 to the public, providing the most robust and unintrusive support for JAWS and Cakewalk Sonar. Some of the new features include:
- Support for Cakewalk Sonar 6.2.1 (note, earlier patches are not recommended).
- Full support for the Sonnitus suite of audio plug-ins through the Hot Spot Clicker JAWS scripts (thanks to Phil Muir for putting together these fabulous sets).
- Support for track layers (muting, soloing and other related information).
- Ability to operate on tracks and buses using ranges, e.g. you can say: “JSonar please unmute tracks 3 5 10 15” or “solo tracks 3 through 6” etc.
- Improved track navigation: you can now go to track/bus by number, pick them from the list of names or search them by using keywords, e.g. “JSonar, please display all the tracks that contain the word Guitar in them”.
- Full access to the new interface of synthrack view (you will actually feel like in the track view).
- Full support for the multi-channel VU meters (stereo and surround sound).
- Meter Clipping Monitor: tell JSonar to watch a particular track or bus for clippings and notify you when they occur; the notification can either be phrases, like “channel 2 is clipping” or by sound.
- Basic Braille support: watch and navigate through tracks and buses with your Braille display; find that track you need, mute, solo, arm or toggle “input echo” right from your braille display.
- …and more.
Please head over to the downloads section and get a copy for yourself. We encourage that you familiarize yourself with the README to learn what's new, what's been fixed and changed.
Congratulations to the JSonar community, developers and testers alike!
