JSonar Project

I just came across an article on Cakewalk's site that describes all the new features and fixes that were introduced in Cakewalk Sonar V8. Interestingly enough, some of the fixes are geared at screen reader as well as keyboard users.

Accessibility Enhancements:

• Folder names now display correctly in accessibility string

  -- this means that folder names will now be announced correctly by JSonar when arrowing up and down.

• FX Bin effects now appear in accessibility string

  -- this means that Window-eyes users should now hear effects that are inserted in the effects bin of the track or bus under the cursor.

Misc User Interface Enhancements:

• New way to select all audiosnap clips for ease of bouncing Ctrl + Alt + A.
• Empty folder tracks now stay in correct order.
• Ctrl + , and Ctrl + . now toggle selection and quick group for the current track when there are already tracks selected/quick grouped.
• Mains View insert key implemented. i.e. insert now inserts buses.
