JSonar Project

I have just discovered that after updating JAWS 9.0 to the latest version (9.02169), JSonar behaves very well, just like it did with JAWS 8.0. For the end-user this means that event view and track view will now track Sonar cursor correctly and there should be no lagging with screen refreshes.

If you were waiting to upgrade to JAWS 9.0, you can now do so through Freedom Scientific's web site. Happy Sonaring!

This is to let the whole world know that JSonar7 for Cakewalk Sonar 7.2 has just been released out of the lab

Some of the features in this release are:

• New “help mode” for beginners.
• Support for Step Sequencer.
• New way of interacting with sends/tracks/buses.
• Much more improved HSC sets for popular plug-ins.
• A lot of stability improvements.

We are happy to announce the availability of JAWS scripts for Cakewalk Music Creator, version 3.0 software. Please note: these scripts have only been tested with version 3.0 of this application.

Upon popular request and thanks to the help of Mabian, ssrp at prjteam.com, and Tim Burgess, we are publishing Sonar Shortcut Reference here. Please note: this is based on Sonar 7.01.

I am happy to announce that after months of work and with the help of Victor Gorelov from Russia, we have nearly completed the Russian-speaking version of JSonar 7.0. JSonar messages, JSonar installer as well as JSonar Readme are now translated into Russian language.

OK, you say, what's the big deal? We are now on Sonar 7.0… Well, not everyone! And for those who are not, herewith comes JSonar5.3, a major update to JSonar5.

Some of the new features include:

• Many goodies from JSonar6, such as
  • Multichannel VU meter reading and VU Meter clipping monitor.
  • Indicate meter clipping with speech or sound.
  • Manipulation of strips (track/buses) by range, e.g. mute tracks 1 through 3 or unarm tracks 3 5 7 21.
  • Announce tracks with data and empty tracks.
  • Announce time while jogging.
  • and more…

We have just released JSonar 6.0 to the public, providing the most robust and unintrusive support for JAWS and Cakewalk Sonar. Some of the new features include:

• Support for Cakewalk Sonar 6.2.1 (note, earlier patches are not recommended).
• Full support for the Sonnitus suite of audio plug-ins through the Hot Spot Clicker JAWS scripts (thanks to Phil Muir for putting together these fabulous sets).
• Support for track layers (muting, soloing and other related information).
